Falak Chawla and Djarren Tan, give advice on the changeover from high school to university, as they discuss a number of topics essential to post-secondary transition.
Falak Chawla is a 2nd-year student at Western University's General Sciences program, specializing in Genetics and Medical Sciences. Currently, she is the fundraising supervisor at Certified Listeners Society, all whilst completing physics in summer school. An expert on time management, Falak has managed to balance her academics, extracurriculars (HOSA executive), a part-time job and personal lifestyle since coming into post-secondary. She completed the International Baccalaureate from Harold Brathwaite Secondary School with a university acceptance of 93%. Her long-term goal is to establish a career in dentistry.
Djarren Tan, a graduate from St. Marguerite d'Youville, currently attends Western University as a part of the Medical Sciences Honours Programs with Scholars. His work ethic and dedication to creating a balanced lifestyle have led to his involvement in Western's fencing team and marching band, coordinating fundraisers at Certified Listeners Society, whilst maintaining a 3.85 GPA. His long-term goal is to establish a career in medicine or research.
