How to NOT give advice and how to redirect when a caller directly asks for advice

In this session volunteers will be given tips on how to guide conversations away from providing direct advice--even when directly asked by the emotional support volunteer. Volunteers will be trained on how to seek out callers strengths, help them to discover their internal coping skills, and how to identify and outreach to their own social supports.
