This training course was a great rundown of everything you may experience as a volunteer on the CLS platform. I was able to learn a lot from the different modules and quizzes and am happy to have added this new knowledge to my skillset. With that being said, I think this course could be improved by making it more comprehensive, detailed, and engaging. I would have appreciated more details and background info on certain topics, as well as opportunities to engage with the material and test my application of what I’ve learned because I feel that this would have helped solidify my knowledge of what I’ve learned. Additionally, I found the training for the tawk.to platform a bit confusing from the perspective of someone who had little exposure to this platform prior to the training. I feel like a more in-depth explanation of how to navigate it would have been super helpful and made me feel even more confident before going for my practical training appointment. Other than the points already mentioned though, I really enjoyed taking this training and I’m glad I had the opportunity to acquire this knowledge and become part of this community at CLS.

I personally think this CLS Training is very useful. They teach about many topics that you could be encountering as an emotional volunteer responding to especially vulnerable group of people. I learnt what I should do and should not do when come across a specific situation and I also learnt many terms on variety types of depression, mental heath and sucidiology and tips to prevent these burnout. It was overally a great online training.

There were quite a few spelling errors throughout that threw me off a bit, but most lessons were structured in an easy to understand way, at a reasonable pace.

Very good training overall and informative, but the layout of the website could be more streamlined and there’s a lot of typos and spelling errors that take away from comprehension a little bit.
